Reports from Kenya’s capital Nairobi indicates that Kenya’s opposition leader, Raila Odinga has withdrawn from participating in the election following nullification of the earlier election results by Court.
The elections were to be conducted on October 26. Addressing the press this afternoon, Raila said it is only through his withdrawal that the country would have a free and fair election. Odinga said they have lost faith in the current IEBC that administers the electoral processes and that it was firmly under control of the ruling government of Uhuru Kenyatta. They ask for fresh nominations and elections. More details to follow..
