He said Manzu has been taken for ‘some operation’ at Lacor and did not divulge the cause of death. Manzu has been the party Chairman from 2006 where him and the team mobilized to popularize the FDC, where Kizza Besigye always trounced President Yoweri Museveni not until 2011 and 2016 when Museveni won.
In 2015, the Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE) voted him as the best performing district councilor.
The District Speaker, Suleiman Onduma, said Manzu was a senior councilor who debated with facts and evidence.
Onduma said the council is planning to have a special sitting session at 2Pm to pay him tribute. This is the second district councilor to die this year after, the councilor for Pajulu Sub-county, Ms Christine Debo, who also served as former Deputy Speaker died two months ago.
