Arua-Fans of Onduparaka and Vipers FC have spent the day in the town mobilizing for the expected thrilling game in Uganda Premier League.
The Onduparaka fans held dances, march on the streets of Arua blowing vuvuzela’s while the fans of Vipers also hired Nile Coach bus as they moved through the streets ululating and blowing vuvuzelas. The town has been noisy as early as 7 Am and it getting more as the clock ticks to the 4:30 Pm game.
Both teams are struggling for the top of the table though Onduparaka leads it as per now after displacing Vipers FC. The game at Betway Green Light Stadium has been boosted with last week’s signing of a contract with MTN, the away win game. These are motivational to both the players and the fans.
Onduparaka has remained unbeaten at the Betway Green light stadium as they subjected the big teams like KCCA, Vipers and SC Villa with loses last season at the formerly Paruku stadium. They want to hold a repeat while Vipers aims to break the jinx of the unbeaten record.
Since joining the league last season, Onduparaka has never lost any home game. At the stadium, hundreds of fans from both clubs are embroiled in morale boosting, drinking and drumming as they wait for the kick off whistle.
