Koboko– The Grade One Magistrate court has sentenced 28 year-old, Sarah Kereke, a resident of Arumaje, Mengo ward, South division in Koboko Municipality on allegations of kidnapping a one week’s child.

There have a wide spread of cases of Kidnap across the country which have mainly ended up into deaths. The Kidnappers have in most cases asked for ransom in order to release the kidnapped persons. The child was recovered after three months while in custody of Sarah. Sarah was arrested last week.
Magistrate Guchina, denied the bail application saying the country is facing many cases of kidnap and this should act as deterrent for other offenders.
