Nebbi. A watchman attached to Shell Petrol station has been murdered in Nebbi town.
The man, Denis Oryema, was found dead lying in a pool of blood. According to the residents, Oryema was attacked by unknown thugs as he guarded the petrol station.
The Vice Chairperson Ajoga-Onyayobodho village, Cissy Kermundu, who stays some few meters where the deceased was killed, said: “I heard drivers who parked their vehicles at the petrol station calling for him very early in the morning, but only to find that he was dead.”
According to OC station, Regina Nansamba, said: “We to appeal to people to cooperate with police for in giving information that could lead to arrest of the killer. Since the New Year began, two have been so far been murdered.”
She said on the 1st Jan, 2018, one person indentified as Anewa Brian was murdered at Jukia in Nebbi town and said this is the second incident within a week.
She urged companies to employ armed guards and avoid employing one guard to manage the premises with bows and arrows.
