Arua-Unknown assailants have killed a security guard of KK Security Company employed at Total fuel station in Arua.
The guard, Denis Jawiambe, was discovered on Saturday morning by the pump attendants at the petrol station after his body was dumped in a kiosk that is used for keeping their belongings.
According to the staff at Total Petrol station, Jawiambe hails from Kucwiny Sub County in Nebbi district. He was found dead with a deep cut on his face and head and the body squeezed in a room.
The police suspect that the assailants grabbed the security guard, who was only armed with a Baton late in the night before killing him. The thugs also broke in to the pump offices and made off with unspecified amount of money that was kept in the safe.

The thugs broke the lock of the office door and also destroyed the window to the petrol station stores before making with some items and money.
Police detectives led by the CIID officer Arua visited the scene and recovered a hoe, a club and the phone and Baton of the deceased but efforts to use the police dog proved futile as the assailants changed route after reaching the main post office in Arua town.
The Oc Station for Arua, Jude Nasucha blamed the incident on the KK security company for making their personnel guard such premises without a gun and deploying one person to do the job of two or more personnel.
“The company running the fuel station has no problem hiring the security company but the problem is of the security company making their personnel guard premises with a Baton only,” Nasucha said.
The body being taken to the mortuary.
However many people who gathered at the fuel station traded blame on the management of the fuel station for putting the lives of innocent guards at stake in a business venture that makes millions of shillings daily.
The body of the deceased was taken by the police to Arua regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem while police continue with the investigations in to the killing.
This is the second time a security guard is killed at the fuel station within five years and no suspect has been brought to book in connection with the murders. Last month, two security guards were also killed at Rock Filling Station in Adjumani district.
