Adjumani-The district police commander, Kakaire Adam, has been transferred to Kyankwanzi in a recent reshuffle by the Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura after serving the district for less than a year.
The outgoing DPC Kakaire who was this evening finalizing his handover report has been replaced by Syamutsangira Simon who has been on course. The transfer takes immediate effect, according to Kayihura’s letter.
DPC Kakaire who replaced the then acting DPC, Motoka Kawa, has barely worked in the district for one year but his transfer has nothing to do with under-performance according to a source from police headquarters.
But the boda-boda community in Adjumani town say they are not interested in the news of the transfer of DPC Kakaire with some saying it does not concern them. Others said they knew at one time he will be transferred, so there is nothing new transfers since it has been done within then law.
The motorists who voiced out their opinions during an interview today with our reporter also revealed that the recent fight with the police was settled well.
Contrary to some observers, the Adjumani town boda boda cyclists say they wish Adam Kakaire the very best at the new duty station but has urged him to always reflect back on the past and improve where he did not perform well.
