Nebbi-Hundreds of mourners today thronged Laji village in Jukia Ward in Nebbi Municipality to bury the UNEB examiner for Chemistry.
Late Kissa Albert, the husband to Acirocan Flavia of Radio Pacis, succumbed to multiple injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident last Sunday.
The Mayor of Nebbi town, Chombe Mucek, said the two districts of Zombo lost a dedicated man who served the education sector diligently.
Kissa, at the time of his death, was teaching Chemistry at Paidha secondary school. He also taught at Angal Secondary school and Bweyogerere.
The main celebrant of the funeral mass, the Vicar General of Nebbi Catholic Diocese, Monsignor, Lino Opio, said the family of the deceased should be supported.
“Let us pick these children and sponsor in education. We should not leave them alone. Our district needs prayers because the month of December has not been good every year,” he said.
Lino said the gap left by Kissa should be filled although he said the character of the late was hard to find because he dedicated his life to ensure that students received high quality education.
Several speakers praised Kissa for being a respectable teacher who served to his utmost ability in the schools that he taught.
Kissa left three children with the last born being a four month old baby.
Kissa got involved in the accident on his way to Arua to be with his family. His younger Brother, Moses Uringi, said: “He was a decision maker in our family. He always came out with good plans which family members easily accepted. We indeed relied on him.”
