According to the Onduparaka’s Spokesperson, Vegas Otelul, said: “The head to head encounter between the two teams that have never met before is an opportunity for the clubs to fight their place in the highly contested UPL league table. Whereas this will be their first clash, the now Lweza coach Ibrahim kiriya is not new to the caterpillars as his Sc villa side were knocked out by Onduparaka FC in the Uganda cup.”
Lweza is 10th on the table while Onduparaka is 8th. Since the League started, Lweza only managed one win in 10 games meanwhile the caterpillars with no away win will not want to blow away the chance as they had a frustrating draw against rock bottomed JMC last week at Betway Green Light Stadium.
The Onduparaka skipper, Jagason, said: “I need to play my best in the six remaining games and my target is to score at least 10 or more goals before the first round ends.”
But Rashid Toha (Metersacker), who has been consistent in starting line up in all the 9 Azam premier league matches, will miss as he is sitting for his S.4 examination. According a post on the official Onduparaka FC page, the defender, Toha, said: “I am out but am sure this will be the first away win for us. After my exam paper today I will rush to watch them on Tv”.
