Many revelers, especially the Lingala Music lovers are bracing for a great show as they will relive their childhood memories when Awilo rocked the airwaves of the radios in the past.
He arrived today afternoon accompanied by some of his dancers from Paris in France. Awilo Longomba is a Congolese musician who was a drummer in Viva la Musica, Stukas, Nouvelle Generation and Loketo.
Mr John Adiga, a music lover in Arua town, said Awilo should continue spreading his legacy and talents through such concerts.
“I am traveling tomorrow (Thursday) for this show. He is my icon that I respect so much in the music industry. When I was young, I used to love the way he danced and sang with the sweet voice. Attending this show and seeing him live will be the most historical moment in my life.”
Many describe him as a Music Legend alongside late Pepe Kale. Democratic Republic of Congo has produced Musicians who moved revelers across the world throughout their concerts.
On Friday, he will perform along side Ugandan Music stars, Jackie Chandiru, Cindy, Levixone and Eddie Kenzo.
