Yumbe. Leaders and residents of Yumbe thronged Yaa Olivu clan in Okuvuru village in Drajini Sub -county to bid farewell to the fallen district production official late Mr James Orale at the weekend.
Orale succumbed to cancer on Friday at Mulago national referral hospital. Speaking during the funeral mass, Fr Emmanuel Asega the parish priest of Lodonga Parish said: “We all belong to God but not for ourselves and at the right time, we can be called. Our life is like a loan borrowed from the financial institutions and if you use it well to serve God, at the last time, God will reward you. James used his life very well but what will you leave for God as you are still a live? he asked the mourners.
He said Orale worked for many years as Yumbe parish treasurer and also a member of Kolping family society in the parish which is purely, a voluntary work.
Bran Ojock the Principal Assistant Secretary in the office of the Chief Administrative Officer Yumbe said Orale was a resourceful person in the district and he had a very rare life that is why he was able to work in the government and the Church without any problem.
“To elect somebody to be in charge of funds is not an easy thing. In civil service you hear reports implicating staffs but late was never implicated up to the time of his death and we want to see the legacy of Orale in the children he left,” he said.
Yassin Taban the district chairperson said Orale was a humble, committed and cooperative staff in the district.
Taban used the occasion to educate the mourners on Cancer disease that killed late Orale James saying they should screen themselves of the deadly cancer disease.
“We are all candidates for cancer disease. If you clock 40-50years, you should go for cancer screening not only cancer but also for other sicknesses. Cancer is very dangerous but at the early stage, it can be handled. Why late died of cancer is because the cancer had already stayed and spread in all parts of the body,” he said.
He advised the family members to emulate late Orale and they should not fight over assets he left adding that James united many people that was why Muslims and Christians came together to mourn him and mourners should always unite themselves and work together regardless of religion.
